PILA was able to offer 85 grants to law students working in low-paying or unpaid public interest internships during the summer of 2010. PILA distributed more than $361,000 to 32 second-year and 53 first-year students doing a variety of public service jobs across the globe. The number of grant recipients in 2010 represents a slight increase from last year's 84 grant recipients.
