PILA Grad Housing What is it? Grad Housing partners 3Ls who need graduation weekend housing for family and friends with 1Ls and 2Ls who can rent out part or all of their apartments and houses. Housing providers keep half of the money they make, and donate half the money back to PILA! How does it work? 1Ls, 2Ls and other members of the law school community provide accommodations for families and friends of graduating 3Ls. PILA uses the renters’ and the providers’ information to make matches and facilitate the process. The parties will be responsible for reaching final agreement stipulating price, dates, and other details. When is it? UVA Law’s graduation is Sunday, May 20, 2012. Contracting parties can negotiate how many nights the housing will be rented. This can include only one night, or a longer period. How much does it cost? Housing providers are free to set their own prices based on the unique characteristics of the rental and the number of people and nights it will be used. Some providers are willing to negotiate the rate. How do I sign up? Use the attached forms to express interest in becoming a renter or provider, or e-mail kar3vd@virginia.edu for an electronic form. Additional forms are available on the PILA bulletin board in Hunton & Williams Hall. |
